Pick up your rental car at the Vancouver airport
Drive to your hotel in Vancouver’s city centre (about 14 km/25 min)
Relaxing evening in Vancouver

You pick up your rental car at the airport in Vancouver. After only a short drive to the city centre of Vancouver, you will check in to your hotel for the next 4 nights. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Vancouver – Stanley Park tour, University Golf Course
Scenic drive through Stanley Park (about 12 km/1 hrs)
Drive to the University Golf Course (about 12 km/30 min)
11 a.m. tee-time at the University Golf Course
Stroll around Vancouver

Stanley Park is without a doubt the landmark of Vancouver. This peninsula houses rain forest trees, lakes, an aquarium, some of the best views of the Vancouver skyline, the Lions Gate Bridge and Kitsilano. In the park, you will also find the university and the University Golf Course. This course was opened in 1929 and is the heart of the Pacific Spirit Park. Tee-time is at 11 a.m.!

Evening in Vancouver

When you visit the 3rd biggest Chinese quarter in North America, you will certainly get an Asian flair. Leaving the Chinese street shops, you go to the market on Granville Island. There are many stores here, restaurants, and ateliers where you can observe the artists at work. By noon the whale watching tour starts from Granville Island. Probability for seeing whales on this tour is 90%.

Mt. Seymour, Northlands Golf Course
Drive to Mt. Seymour (about 27 km/25 min)

Drive back to Vancouver (about 22 km/35 min)

In order to give you an overview of Vancouver, you drive to a viewpoint on Mt. Seymour. The golf course is situated at the foot of the mountain. Tee-time is 12 noon. On the way back you make a stop at the Lonsdale Square Market in North Vancouver. From here you will have a great view on the modern skyline of Vancouver.

Sun Peaks – photo stop along the way
Drive to Sun Peaks (about 420 km/5 hrs) via Hope, Merritt, and Kamloops
Relax and rest up at the hotel
Explore Sun Peaks

On your 5th day, you leave the coastal region and drive to the interior to Hope (about 160 km/1.5 hr). After crossing the Coquihalla pass (1,240 m/775 mi above sea level) you follow the highway through arid ranch land, via Merritt to Kamloops. After a short refreshing break you start the last leg of the day (about 40 km/45 min). You check in to your hotel for the next 3 days. Now you have the time to stroll through the Sun Peaks Ski Resort, a pleasant way to stretch your legs.

Relax and rest up during the evening at Sun Peaks

After a nice breakfast, you play a round of golf at the Sun Peaks Golf Course. Your tee-time is set at 10:30 a.m. The golf course stretches all along the valley; it offers many great views on the ski slopes and the village of Sun Peaks. Later in the afternoon, you have the opportunity to enjoy some of the various outdoor activity programs offered by Sun Peaks.

Sun Peaks – Kamloops, Tobiano Golf Course
Drive to Kamloops and the Tobiano Golf Course (about 90 km/1hr 20 min)
Tee-time 10:30 a.m. at the Tobiano Golf Course
Drive back to Sun Peaks
Stroll through Sun Peaks

After only a few kilometres on your way to the Tobiano Golf Course you can see vegetation change from a lush green to a dry, barren valley. The Tobiano Championship Golf Course is a green oasis on the shore of Kamloops Lake. Your tee-time is set at 10:30 a.m. After your game, you return to Sun Peaks and spend a nice evening there.

Hiking, horseback riding, canoeing
Relax in the hotel’s spa

Today’s motto is to relax and rest up. You may choose to play another round of golf at the Sun Peaks Golf Course; maybe you want to take advantage of the many outdoor activities offered at Sun Peaks (horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, etc.); or, just have a relaxing time at hotel’s own spa area.

Whistler – Hat Creek Ranch
Drive to Whistler (about 360 km/4.5 hrs)
Optional: Tour of Hat Creek Ranch (open air museum) and the Shuswap Natives village
Stroll through Whistler

This drive to Whistler is both impressive and exciting all the way. The surroundings change from the dry interior to the ragged coastal region. Furthermore, the Hat Creek Ranch will show you how the natives and the immigrants used to live during the gold rush. Taking the legendary Duffy Lake Road you cross the coastal mountains and reach Whistler late afternoon. You will check in to your hotel for the next 4 days.

Whistler – Nicklaus North Golf Course
Drive to Nicklaus North Golf Course (about 6 km/10 min)
Tee-time 9 a.m. at the Nicklaus North Golf Course
Drive to Green Lake (about 5 km/10 min)
Relax, walk around Green Lake

The best way to get to know Whistler is to play a round of golf. The Nicklaus North Championship Golf course was co-designed by Jack Nicklaus, who officially opened this course in 1996. The golf course offers fantastic views on the great alpine surroundings of Whistler. Your tee-time is booked for 9 a.m. After your game you can either take a walk to Green Lake or stroll around Whistler village.

Scenic flights, horseback riding, rafting, etc.

You can hike through the alpine region; a gondola ride will bring you above the tree line. Experience Whistler’s primeval forest by walking across hanging bridges from one treetop to the other. Scenic flights, horseback riding, rafting, glacier skiing, and many more activities are offered. You can enjoy nature in many various ways here in Whistler. Whichever pleases you most, it’s your choice.

Last night

As you may see deer and black bears on the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course, you feel how close you are to the wilderness. Maybe luck is with you and you’ll get a great handicap. In any case, don’t forget to take your camera. Your tee-time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. After your game, go to your hotel to relax, maybe take another stroll through Whistler.

Drive to Vancouver (about 140 km/2.3 hrs)

Return the rental car at Vancouver airport

Leaving Whistler, you follow the “sea to sky” highway to Vancouver. About halfway, near Squamish, you reach the Pacific. Shortly thereafter you stop at Shannon Fall. This cascading waterfall is quite impressive with a height of 335 meters. Through North Vancouver and over the Lions Gate Bridge you are back in Vancouver, cross the city to the south and the airport. You return your rental car there.
