Calgary – arrival
Pick up rental car at Calgary Airport
Drive to downtown Calgary to the hotel (about 20 km/25 min)
Relax for the evening in Calgary

At the Calgary airport, you pick up your rental car. After only a short drive to downtown, you check in to your hotel for the next 4 nights. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Calgary – Elk Lodge Championship Golf Course
Drive to Elks Lodge Golf and Curling Club (about 10 km/15 min)
Tee-time 9 a.m. at the Elks Lodge Golf Course
Drive back to the hotel
City tour of Calgary

After breakfast, you start your Canadian golfing adventure. The Elks Lodge Championship Golf Course is north of Calgary. Your tee-time is scheduled for 9 a.m. After your game, you return to your hotel. Rest up and relax for a walk touring Calgary late afternoon. Check out places such as Stephan Street, the Olympic Plaza, and the Calgary Tower.

Calgary – Drumheller Golf Course - Calgary
Drive to Drumheller to the Dinosaur Golf Course (about 140 km/1.5 hr)

This day trip to Drumheller will show you an impressive side of the prairies. Starting in Calgary, you drive through this typically flat and seemingly endless landscape. Drumheller is situated in a wide and deep canyon carved by the Red River. The greens of the Dinosaur Golf Course make it look like an oasis in this arid landscape. Your tee-time is scheduled for 11 a.m. If you’re into dinosaurs, check out the Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum.

Calgary – Inglewood Championship Golf Course
Drive to Inglewood Golf and Curling Club (about 12 km/20 min)

Stroll through Calgary

This day you will be golfing at the Inglewood Championship Golf Course situated to the east of Calgary on the shores of the Bow River. Even though the fairways are quite narrow, you will still get grandiose views on the Calgary skyline. Your tee-time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. After your game you return to the hotel. Then you can stroll through this modern cowboy town and be charmed by the western flair.

Banff – Stewart Creek Golf Course
Drive to Canmore, Stewart Creek Golf Course (about 110 km/1.5 hr)

Drive to Banff (about 25 km/30 min)
Stroll through Banff

Leaving the modern city you drive past adventurous and breathtaking mountains of the Rockies. You will certainly enjoy the mountain air while playing a round of golf at the Stewart Creek Golf Course in Canmore. Your tee-time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. It is only a short drive from there to Banff. This community is in the Banff National Park, the oldest one in Canada; it is known throughout the world for its fantastic surroundings.

Banff – Lake Louise – Banff
Drive to Lake Louise (about 60 km/1 hr) – Chateau Lake Louise
Drive into the Yoho Park, Takakkaw Falls, Emerald Lake (45 km/35 min)
Drive to Johnston Canyon (about 60 km/1 hr)
Drive back to Banff (about 25 km/20 min)

You will get a close-up of nature on this day trip to Banff and Yoho National Parks. Following the Bow River you drive from Banff to Lake Louise. After the photo-op at the Chateau Lake Louise, you enter Yoho National Park and head for Takakkaw Falls (254 m) and Emerald Lake. On your way back to Banff, make a stop at Johnston Canyon. A well-built trail will lead you through the canyon and to magnificent views. Don’t forget your camera! You may spot some wildlife even. From the Johnston Canyon it is only a 20-minute drive back to Banff.

Banff – Stanley Thompson Golf Course

Afternoon at your leisure in Banff, e.g. gondola ride,
horseback riding, hot springs, museum, strolling

In the morning, you play a round at the Stanley Thompson Golf Course in Banff. Your tee-time is scheduled for 9 a.m. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to explore Banff and surroundings on your own. Some suggestions: gondola ride, visit the museum, go hiking, take a float trip, or just stroll around town. You may spot some wapitis or black bears, if you haven’t yet at the golf course.

Jasper – Bow Summit
Drive to Jasper (about 300 km/3.5 hrs)
Walk to the tongue of the Athabasca Glacier
Photo-stop at the Bow summit (2,035 m above sea level) and many more interesting spots in the landscape

Leaving Banff, you follow the Bow River to Lake Louise. Then you take the Columbia Icefields Parkway – nicknamed dream road of the Rocky Mountains – to Jasper. The absolute highlight of this stretch of road is the Columbia Icefield. A trail takes you to the tongue of the Athabasca glacier. You’ll arrive in Jasper late afternoon.

Jasper – Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course

Afternoon at your leisure in Jasper: go for a walk, take a float trip, stroll around town

The Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course is just outside of town, and is part of the Fairmont Jasper Lodge hotel grounds. Your tee-time is scheduled for 10 a.m. The rest of the afternoon gives you the opportunity to explore your new surroundings. You can have short walks around small lakes, or walk along the Athabasca River, or just relax and rest up in your Jasper hotel.

Jasper – Maligne Valley – Jasper
Drive to Maligne Lake (about 45 km/1 hrs)
Drive to Maligne Canyon (about 35 km/45 min)
Hike through the canyon
Drive back to Jasper (about 10 km/15 min)

An excursion to the Maligne valley, southeast of Jasper, will offer you a splendid look at this remote mountain region. A winding road takes you from Jasper to Maligne Lake, which is the biggest natural lake in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The wonderful view on the over 3,000 m high mountains can best be enjoyed during a walk along the lake. On the way back to Jasper, make a stop at Maligne Canyon. This impressive canyon is home to a unique waterfall and many fossils.

Jasper – Hinton – Jasper
Drive to Hinton to the Hinton Golf Course (about 80 km/1hr15min)
Tee-time 11 a.m. at the Hinton Golf Course
Drive back to Jasper
Stroll around in Jasper

Hinton is northeast of Jasper and past the Rockies. On the way there, another dramatic change in the landscape takes place. Hinton lies on the transition of mountains and prairie. You have several views from the golf course. Your tee-time is scheduled at 11 a.m. Afterwards, return to Jasper.

Jasper – Columbia Icefield Parkway – Calgary
Drive back to Calgary on the now familiar route (about 420 km/4.5 hrs)

Late afternoon arrival in Calgary
Last night

After a good breakfast, you drive the same way back to Calgary. Again, have your camera at hand! You have the opportunity once more to stop and enjoy the beautiful viewpoints and take in the fantastic landscape. The experience of late make you feel at home here. Late afternoon, you will reach Calgary and check in to your already familiar hotel for the night.
